That’s the 3rd time this week!” yelled Mrs.LaRue”If you keep this up them I’ll send you to obedience school.” Ike immediately ran to the kitchen like nothing happened. A few moments later, Mrs.LaRue went to get the mail. In the mail there was a letter about an obedience school, it read.”Dear Mrs.LaRue, We have heard that your dog Ike needs to be trained and we have the perfect class to help him.” Mrs.LaRue thinks a moment,”Maybe this would be a great school for Ike.” Mrs.LaRue calls Ike into the living room.” Ike! Dueling Mandates in Yellowstone

Bison in Yellowstone National Park are getting the brucellosis disease from escaping the park or Bison coming in from outside the park. The human form of the disease is undulant fever but it is no longer a public health threat, however Elks can still get the disease. About half of the Yellowstone Bison test positive for the exposure to the disease. People have come up with different ideas on how to solve this problem. I think that the best solution is to inject all the bison with the brucellosis vaccine. Sure it would be a lot of work to inject every single bison in the park with the brucellosis vaccine, but if it keeps the bison from getting the disease then I’m all for it! Another good thing about it is that if the bison do wander out of the park then they will have the vaccine and nothing, or no one will be at risk of getting the disease. If the bison wander of out of the park then people may end up hunting the bison. Now, there are some bad things, if they do choose to try to inject all the bison, they’ll have to pay for vaccines for every single bison. It would also be a pain because some bison may end up wandering into the park, who may possibly have the disease. Then they would have to check on the bison every so often to see if any of them need the vaccine. So, those are all the good things and bad things of vaccinating all of the bison.

Emma Watson

Emma Watson is an actress best known for playing Hermione in Harry Potter. She grew up wealthy because she started her acting career at the age of 10. We have a few differences, for example, she was born in Paris, France. She is also a famous actress and I obviously am not. However there are a few ways we are alike. One way is that Emma and I enjoy singing. Sadly, the pretty Emma Watson had to experience her parents being divorced when she was at the age of 5. She is a very kind and caring person, and I hope she continues to be the great actress she is.

Women in the Revolution

Emily Geiger was the messenger for General Greene and General Sumter. One night she went to send a message to General Sumter from General Greene. She was tired and saw a farmhouse so she knocked on the door. The couple that answered the door let her stay the night, the couple were tories! When Emily was in their guest room a man came and knocked on the couple’s door and said that he heard rumors of a woman riding in the woods. Afraid that the couple would be suspicious, she snuck out of their home that night. When she was going to General Sumter’s home she was caught and searched!

Deborah Samson was very respectful. She was a true patriot and wanted to fight for her country. In fact she was so determined to serve her country that she even disguised herself as a man and joined the militia and used a brother’s name who had died a long time ago. One time she got terribly hurt and almost died. She told the Doctor that cared for her which was Dr.Binney, her secret of her being a woman. She actually introduced herself to Colonial Jackson as Deborah Samson for him to know who she really was.

The Midnight Ride

Minutemen are soldiers that are trained to be ready to fight in under a minute.

If  by land one, two if by sea, this means that if the British come by land they hang one lantern, and if by sea two.

Date of the event was April 18,1775.

Not all the riders made it to Concord, in fact Samuel Prescott was the only one who did!

It’s a fact that Paul Revere was a silversmith by trade, and sometimes worked as an amateur dentist.

He being Paul Revere was captured just outside of Lexington that night.

The regulars are coming were the most important words said during the Midnight Ride.

Revere is not the only midnight rider who set out to warn that the regulars are coming.

In fact Samuel Prescott was the one who really made it to Concord.

During the midnight ride the locations passed were Boston, Lexington, and Concord.

Every rider involved was Paul Revere, Samuel Prescott, and William Dawes.

MLK Service

Martin Luther King Jr, or MLK, is a person who helped get equal rights for African Americans but in a peaceful way. For that reason we celebrate him and some people do things in his honor. So when you get that day off of school or work for MLK day, think of it as a day on, a day to celebrate him and do good. There are many ways to have a “day on”, for example you can simply clean up a local beach if you have one. You could even just simply help a neighbor clean their yard or their house. You could even clean your street if it has trash on it. Like I said there are endless ways so just remember to try to make it a day on instead of a day off. MLK fought for his freedom and gave it to some people and now everyone, I would say that is a good man. He is also a good reminder that fighting for freedom doesn’t have to include violence instead it can be peaceful. Everyone deserves respect so you can thank MLK for getting everyone the respect they deserve and make it a day on.

Colonial Potter

While I was working today a pot I was making nearly cracked because it was drying too quickly. I had to take a small break because my foot started to hurt from peddling so long. I almost forgot to use the wire to pick the plate I was making up. I decided not to use my pottery wheel today and used my thumbs instead. Today as I was about to bring my pottery in to dry, I saw an Indian.I was about to make a kiln when I realized I already had one. I made a brilliant design today using only a stick. I ran out of clay today so I had to dig up more. Today I almost forgot to sgraffito. I almost lost my slip cup and I almost couldn’t paint. I almost couldn’t find any feldspar to use for my work.
