9/11 Reflection

I learned that two planes crashed into the world trade center in New York, another into the Pentagon, and one last one into a Pennsylvania field. I also learned that it was a very sad day in history, and it was heartbreaking for everyone. I feel that the actions of the hijackers that day were very unnecessary, and they had no heart. After that day thousands of innocent lives were taken. You may be able to knock the U.S.A down, but we’ll get back up again.

Yours truly,                                                                                                                                                                                                              Kara

Life in 5th Grade

This year has been really good  so far, all the classes are my favorites but I want to list them all anyway. I do like all of the other subjects, but I’ve always been a big fan of  math. I have been looking forward to being in Mr. McBride’s class for a long time and it’s amazing! On the first day of school I don’t know how many times I laughed in his class, it was really fun. I normally don’t like reading but this year I have a feeling that I am going like it. My reading teacher, Mrs.Owens, seems like a really good teacher, and I think that I will do pretty good in her class this year. Mrs.Ummel is the math and ELA teacher, I really like her class because we play all sorts of fun math games. Mrs.Brantley is the other math teacher. To me her class is way different than Mrs.Ummel’s class but I still really like it, I have always been a big fan of math though. Finally Mrs.Mcfall’s class, she teaches history. Both me and my mom are big fans of history, for some reason everything that happened before I was born is just so interesting to me. That’s how fifth grade has gone for me so far.
